Aboriginal Students

Support is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people seeking access to vocational education and training within TAFE NSW.

We offer a wide range of courses including general education and vocational programs. Aboriginal students are supported by an Aboriginal Education Coordinator, who can assist with enquiries as well as offer advice on general issues related to Aboriginal education. Read more >

Our Aboriginal Education Coordinators manage education and training programs and student support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in areas such as:

  • Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Practices
  • Aboriginal Cultural Site Conservation
  • Aboriginal Education
  • Assistants
  • Aboriginal Studies Diploma
  • Aboriginal Vocational Preparation
  • Indigenous Land Management

Also the unit offers other services such as mediation, career workshops, advice, support and referrals to other Aboriginal community and government services.
